Jennifer Feltman

Jennifer Feltman joined the faculty at University of Alabama as Assistant Professor of Medieval Art and Architecture in 2016. Her research focuses on the ways in which works of medieval art, whether architecture, sculpture, or manuscripts, intersect with aspects of culture, such as intellectual history, religious practice and political discourse. Her research interests include the reuse and adaptation of sculpture, medieval eschatology in visual art, and visual exegesis (the use of images to explain and communicate complex ideas).
