Jenny Ramirez earned her PhD in Art History at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her main area of expertise is 19th-Century Photography and Asian Art. She is an adjunct faculty instructor at James Madison University and Mary Baldwin University. Jenny teaches many Gen Ed and survey courses as well as upper-level classes on 19th-Century art and the arts of China and Japan. Her teaching involves traditional classroom formats as well as hybrid and full online courses. With the development of blended courses, Jenny has become very interested in pedagogy and interdisciplinary studies.
