Ashley Busby

Ashley Busby is an Assistant Professor of Art History at Susquehanna University; she is also an associated faculty member with the minors in Museum Studies and Women’s Studies.  She received her doctorate in 2013 from the University of Texas at Austin with a dissertation titled Picturing the Cosmos: Surrealism and Astronomy, 1920s-1940s.  Recently, she was a contributing author to the catalog Paper in Profile: Mixografia and Taller de Grafica Mexicana for the Georgia Museum of Art.  Her current research interests include the intersections of twentieth century art with popular science and occultism, modern art and food cultures, as well as pedagogy practices in art history.
