Maura Coughlin

Maura Coughlin is Professor of Visual Studies at Bryant University. She is an art historian who is working on French Atlantic visual culture, coastal ecology, the rise of marine sciences in France and dialogues that have been struck between 19th and 21st century aesthetics and ecological ethics. She and Emily Gephart are currently working on a co-edited anthology, –Ecocriticism and The Anthropocene in Nineteenth Century Art and Visual Culture–, soon to be released by Routledge.
